Students having fun at Make the Futures

Make the Future California is a chance to explore what is possible when we come together as we look toward the future of energy and mobility. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of immersive experiences, including virtual and augmented reality, a ride-and-drive with the latest in hydrogen and electric vehicle technology, hands-on activities and more. Build your own miniature car that runs solely on salt water! See firsthand the future of transport with the Starship Initiative. And witness how Shell and our partners are working to make the future through innovation, collaboration and determination.

At the heart of the event is Shell Eco-marathon, a competition for high-school and university-based teams from across the Americas to design and build their own ultra-fuel-efficient vehicles. Visitors will get to see teams take their designs on the track to see who can go the farthest on the least amount of fuel.
